Where Faith Meets
the Open Range

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20

OC Cowboy Church isn't about pews, steeples, or stained glass. We gather at Trails End Ranch in the heart of Silverado Canyon — under a covered barn, beneath an American flag, surrounded by the hills and oaks of Orange County's last frontier.

Here, cowboys and cowgirls, families and neighbors come together for worship, fellowship, and the kind of honest community you can only find out where the pavement ends. We believe the church is the Body of Christ, not limited to manmade buildings — and we are free to worship God wherever we gather in His name.

Whether you've been riding your whole life or you've never set foot on a ranch, you're welcome here. Pull up a chair, grab some grub, and hear the Word preached the way it was meant to be — simple, true, and straight from the heart.

What We Believe

At OC Cowboy Church, our faith is rooted in the unchanging truth of God's Word. These are the core beliefs that guide everything we do.

1 The Bible +

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Scripture is without error in its original manuscripts and is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 • 2 Peter 1:20–21 • Psalm 119:105 • Hebrews 4:12
2 God +

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existent in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory. God is holy, loving, sovereign, and just, and He desires a personal relationship with humanity.

Deuteronomy 6:4 • Matthew 28:19 • 2 Corinthians 13:14 • Isaiah 6:3
3 Jesus Christ +

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary in the flesh, lived a sinless life, died as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose in the flesh from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in power and glory for final judgment, rule and dominion.

John 1:1, 14 • Matthew 1:18–23 • Hebrews 4:15 • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 • Acts 1:9–11
4 The Holy Spirit +

We believe the Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers believers for godly living and effective ministry. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church in accordance with Scripture.

John 16:7–13 • Romans 8:9–11 • 1 Corinthians 12:4–11 • Galatians 5:22–23
5 Humanity & Sin +

We believe that all people are created in the image of God, male and female, and that God alone decides our gender at a body and soul level. Through Adam's sin, humanity fell, resulting in spiritual separation from God. All people are sinners by nature and are incapable of restoring themselves to God apart from His free gift of grace.

Genesis 1:26–27 • Romans 3:23; 5:12 • Isaiah 59:2
6 Salvation +

We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received by faith and confession alone in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not earned by works but is accomplished through Christ's finished work of death on the cross and resurrection. Through repentance and faith, believers are justified, forgiven, born again, and adopted into the family of God.

Ephesians 2:8–9 • Romans 10:9–10 • Titus 3:5 • John 1:12
7 The Church +

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, preach the gospel, make disciples, baptize believers, teach God's Word, and demonstrate Christ's love to the world through service and mission. Church is not limited to manmade buildings and sanctuaries, and we are free to worship God wherever two or more gather in His name.

Matthew 16:18; 18:20; 28:19–20 • Acts 2:42–47 • Ephesians 4:11–16
8 Baptism & Communion +

We believe water baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, symbolizing the believer's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. We believe the Lord's Supper is a sacred ordinance commemorating Christ's sacrifice and proclaiming His death until He returns.

Romans 6:3–4 • Matthew 28:19 • 1 Corinthians 11:23–26 • Luke 22:19–20
9 Sanctity of Life & Marriage +

We believe all human life is sacred and created in the image of God, from conception through natural death. We believe marriage is a holy covenant instituted by God, defined as the lifelong union between one man and one woman, and reflects Christ's relationship with His Church.

Psalm 139:13–16 • Genesis 2:24 • Matthew 19:4–6 • Ephesians 5:31–32
10 Eternity & the Return of Christ +

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ. At His return, the dead will be raised, final judgment will occur, and every person will spend eternity either in the presence of God or separated from Him. Heaven and Hell are real and eternal.

John 14:2–3 • 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 • Revelation 20:11–15; 21:1–4
